The Boston Celtics will have guard Ray Allen in the lineup on Friday night at the TD Garden when they take on the Atlanta Hawks in Game Three of their playoff series (via Sean Grande's Twitter). The series is tied 1-1.
Due to his lingering ankle injury, Allen was a game-time decision for the game after participating in the shootaround. He had previously missed the past 15 of the past 20 games for the Celtics, including the first two games of the series with the Hawks.
According to ESPN Stats & Info, the Celtics fared a lot better without Allen than with him during the regular season:
Doc Rivers says he thinks Ray Allen will play tonight. Celtics were 16-4 in reg season w/o Allen, 23-23 with him.— ESPN Stats & Info (@ESPNStatsInfo) May 4, 2012
