Boston Celtics shooting guard Ray Allen participated in the team's morning shootaround prior to Friday night's Game 3 with the Atlanta Hawks and is considered a game-time decision.
Allen, out of Boston's lineup with bone spurs for each of the team's two playoff games and 15 of their final 20 regular season games, said Thursday he was feeling good and then practiced with the team. He seemed optimistic about his chances to play in Game 3, but the key will be how his ankle responds to his pregame workout -- a couple weeks ago, Allen was set to return without limitations but his ankle flared up during his rigorous pregame routine.
Coach Doc Rivers hinted Thursday that Allen might have to cut back his pregame workout. But that will be tough for Allen, a creature of habit known to arrive at the gym more than three hours before each game.
