Josh Smith Injury Update: Atlanta Hawks Star Game-Time Decision For Game 3

Atlanta Hawks power forward Josh Smith, who left Game 2 against the Boston Celtics with a sprained knee ligament, told reporters he is a game-time decision for Friday's Game 3.

Smith practiced Thursday and said he won't make a decision on his Game 3 status until after pregame warmups. If he can't play, the Hawks will be without their top three big men entering the season -- Smith, Al Horford and Zaza Pachulia.

Coach Larry Drew would then need to make some tough decisions with his lineups. Jason Collins and Ivan Johnson have performed reasonably well, but they are both role players who aren't equipped for major minutes. The Hawks could also go small, sending Marvin Williams into the starting lineup, but Williams has been a total non-factor through two games.
