The Boston Celtics impressively defeated the Atlanta Hawks in game two of their Eastern Conference quarterfinals series on Tuesday night without guards Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen.
And while Rondo sat due to a suspension, Allen remained on the shelf with a nagging ankle injury. Head coach Doc Rivers offered up his status for Game 3 recently, and the team still doesn't know whether or not Ray will be good-to-go Friday night.
Doc still unsure if Ray Allen will be available for Game 3: "It's frustrating for Ray. He's doing everything he can. It's a tough one."

Allen, who missed 20 regular-season games due to various ailments, averaged 14.2 points per game this season, while shooting a career-best 45.3 percent from beyond the three point line. The Celtics have made just three three-pointers in two games thus far in the playoffs.
