Avery Bradley Injury Update: Bradley Underwent Surgery On Both Shoulders, According To Report

Boston Celtics shooting guard Avery Bradley had surgery Friday on both his shoulders, according to Mike Petraglia of WEEI. Initial reports were that Bradley would only need an operation on his left shoulder.

The recovery time for the surgery is still expected to be four months, which should leave Bradley ready to participate when training camp arrives at the beginning of October.

Bradley's absence could be a crushing blow for the Celtics, who will now have to rely more heavily on Ray Allen. The 36-year old sharp-shooter is bothered by bone spurs in his ankle, and has shot just 26.7 percent from three-point range in the playoffs while providing below-average perimeter defense.
