2012 All-NBA Third Team: Rajon Rondo Makes First All-NBA Team

Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo was the team's only representative on the 2012 All-NBA teams, which the NBA released on Thursday.

After averaging 11.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and a league-leading 11.7 assists, Rondo was named to the third team along with Dirk Nowitzki, Dwyane Wade, Tyson Chandler, Carmelo Anthony.

It's become a year of milestones for Rondo. He set a Boston Celtics record for highest assists average, led the league in assists for the first time, made an All-Defensive team for the fourth straight season, and now has been named to his first All-NBA team.

Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett both received votes, but not enough to crack any of the three teams.
