NBA Playoffs 2012, Celtics Vs. Hawks, Game 6: Boston Leads 47-41 At Halftime

The Boston Celtics lead, 47-41, at halftime of Game 6 of their first round series against the Atlanta Hawks. The game is so far shaping up to be another defensive battle, with the Celtics on their way to a clinching win to advance to the second round of the 2012 NBA Playoffs.

Eight of the Hawks' 10 turnovers have come off steals, three by Kevin Garnett. The veteran forward also leads all players with 13 points and seven rebounds. Rajon Rondo pitched in 10 points and six assists, and Paul Pierce added another 12 points through the first 24 minutes of the game.

Josh Smith scored 12 points on 6-for-10 shooting to lead the Hawks, after starting Game 5 0-for-8 in the first half. Marvin Williams has also done a nice job keeping Atlanta competitive despite their 43.9 percent shooting as a team. He went 3-for-4 from beyond the 3-point arc on his way to 11 points.
