Josh Smith Injury: Hawks Forward Leaves Game 2 With Knee Injury

Atlanta Hawks forward Josh Smith left Tuesday night's game against the Boston Celtics after running into Kevin Garnett late in the fourth quarter of Game 2. Smith walked off the floor into the locker room, and according to Yahoo! Sports' Marcus Spears he will not return with what is being called a sprained left knee.

There is no word yet on what Smith's status will be beyond Game 2. No doubt we will hear more after the game. Smith was able to walk off the court under his own power. He finished with 16 points on 8-for-21 shooting to go along with 12 rebounds and five assists. Should he miss extended time, the Hawks would be down arguably their best weapon on the boards. Joe Johnson leads the team with 22 points on the night.
