BOSTON - Got injuries? The Boston Celtics do. Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen and Mickael Pietrus will all be sidelined for the C's as they face the Orlando Magic in front of a national audience at 8 p.m. EST inside TD Garden (TV/Radio: ESPN/WEEI).
None of these injuries are surprising, considering that Allen and Pietrus both missed Tuesday night's game against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden and Rondo took a hard spill during that game and appeared to be shaken up.
Allen has a swollen right ankle, which has caused him to miss five straight games. Pietrus' knee was acting up, resulting in a DNP on Tuesday, and Rondo has back spasms after his collision with Knicks' center Tyson Chandler. Celtics head coach Doc Rivers expects all three to be back for the playoffs, but did say that if it were a playoff game tonight, none would play. Orlando, meanwhile, will be without center Dwight Howard and Hedo Turkoglu for Tuesday's game.
