Celtics Vs. Heat: Ray Allen Out Against Miami; Avery Bradley Starts

BOSTON - Boston Celtics shooting guard Ray Allen will miss his sixth straight game on Sunday against the Miami Heat, head coach Doc Rivers announced in his pregame address to the media. Allen went through shootaround but was not ready, meaning second-year guard Avery Bradley will once again get the start in his place.

Rivers said that Allen really wants to play, but he physically can't. Allen has been dealing with a sore right ankle that he suffered against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday, March 22. Bradley, meanwhile, has filled in admirably in Allen's absence, especially in his first start when he was 7-for-7 from the field and had 15 of his career-high 23 points in the first quarter of Boston's game against the Washington Wizards on March 23.
