The Boston Celtics are hosting the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night at the Garden. The Jazz are fighting to stay in the playoff picture in the Western Conference, but enter the game sporting a dreary 8-17 record on the road. Through the first half of play, the Celtics hold a sizable 46-35 lead.
The Jazz came out with guns blazing and outscored Boston in the first quarter, 21-18, but the Celtics clamped down and allowed the visitors just 14 points in the second quarter, while dropping in 28 of their own.
Paul Pierce and Brandon Bass lead all scorers with 11 points each. Rajon Rondo is having a solid game, with four points, three rebounds and seven assists. On the Jazz side, Gordon Hayward is Utah's top scorer, with nine points.
