Mickael Pietrus Injury Update: Pietrus Says He's 'Improving Day By Day'

Mickael Pietrus tweeted on Wednesday afternoon that he is improving from a concussion suffered last week against the Philadelphia 76ers, but does not yet know when he'll return to the Boston Celtics lineup.

"Update: Hello My condition is improving day by day. No timeframe on when I will be able to step on the court," Pietrus tweeted.

The wing needed to be carted off the court on a stretcher after a collision against the 76ers on Friday. Though the moment was scary, especially for the Celtics, who lost Marquis Daniels in a similar collision last season, MRIs showed no serious damage and Pietrus is expected to make a full recovery and return this season.

With Pietrus out of the lineup and Ray Allen also nursing an injury, Doc Rivers was forced to insert Avery Bradley into the starting lineup. Bradley has performed admirably in two games as Boston's starting shooting guard, but Pietrus and Allen are the team's two best sharp-shooters.
