Celtics Vs. Hawks Halftime Score: Atlanta Leads By 2 In Low-Scoring Affair

The Boston Celtics are visiting with the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night, hoping to move back to .500 in game six of their nine-game road stand. They look jet-lagged through 24 minutes after playing in Denver on Saturday night, however, taking a 33-31 deficit into halftime.

The Celtics are shooting just 35.1 percent from the field in the first half. Kevin Garnett is the team's co-leading scorer with eight points, but he needed 10 shot attempts to get there. Rajon Rondo added eight points and six assists, but also shot just 3-for-9 from the field.

Thankfully, the Hawks haven't been any, if at all sharper. As a team they are shooting just 34.1 percent for the game, and Josh Smith is their leading scorer with eight points despite going 4-for-11 from the field. The Celtics and the Hawks are 1-for-6 and 1-for-5, respectively, from beyond the 3-point arc. The biggest difference up to this point has been turnovers. The Hawks have commited just six compared to 11 for the Celtics.
