We have reached the NBA trade deadline, and as far as we know, the Boston Celtics are still intact. Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo have all been linked to rumors leading up to Thursday's deadline, but it appears as if all of the Big Four will remain in Celtics green for at least the rest of the year.
This news will be met with mixed reaction from Celtics fans. Naturally, fans have become emotionally attached to the Big Four, who brought them a championship in 2008 and nearly brought them another two years later. But the Celtics aren't exactly in prime position to compete for another title this year and are in need of some bigs with injuries to Chris Wilcox and Jermaine O'Neal. At this point, it appears as if Danny Ainge will attempt to improve the team's depth via waivers, like he did last year by signing Troy Murphy.
