Celtics Trade Rumors: Paul Pierce Is Likeliest Celtic To Be Moved

In case you haven't heard, there are trade rumors surrounding the Big Three of the Boston Celtics. Shocking, I know. As the March 15 deadline rapidly approaches, the rumor mill is starting to churn, and the availability of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo has been widely discussed.

According to Adrian Wojnarowksi of Yahoo! Sports, Pierce is the likeliest member of the group to be on the move, as he has two years left on his contract and is owed $31 million.

"Pierce is the most likely because he has years left on his deal. Remember, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen are free agents at the end of this year. They can just let them lapse off the cap and then take the cap space and go forward with it," said Wojnarowski. (via Celtics Town)

Pierce is in his 14th season with the Celtics and is averaging 17.4 points this year.
