Celtics Vs. Cavaliers: Streaking Boston Hosts Rebuilding Cleveland

Paul Pierce and the red-hot Boston Celtics look to wrap up their best week of the season in style when they host Kyrie Irving and the rebuilding Cleveland Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. EDT on Sunday at TD Garden (TV/Radio: CSN/WEEI).

Boston has won its last four games, including two improbable victories against the Orlando Magic. The C's opened the week with a six-point win over the Washington Wizards before blowout out the Magic by 31 points the next night at home. Their winning ways continued on Thursday, when Boston recovered from a 27-point deficit to beat Orlando again.

On Friday night, the Celtics handed the Indiana Pacers their first loss in three meetings between the two teams this season. Pierce put forth another fantastic effort, leading all scorers with 28 points while totaling 10 boards and eight assists for Boston, which shot 45.8 percent in the win. Chris Wilcox had a season-best 14 points off the bench.

Cleveland lost its last game against the New Jersey Nets, 99-96, on Friday. Kyrie Irving led the team in scoring with 32 points and also had six assists. Antawn Jamison had 20 points and six boards and Ramon Sessions added 11 points off the bench for the Cavaliers, who shot 46.9 percent from the field.

Boston heads to Cleveland for the home-and-home series finale on Tuesday.
