NBA All-Star Voting 2012: Celtics Hanging Around In First Returns

The first returns are in for the 2012 NBA All-Star Game voting, and the Boston Celtics's core of stars is hanging around. Rajon Rondo leads the team in votes and is third among guards (253,969 votes) while Ray Allen is fourth among guards (174,934 votes). Kevin Garnett is fourth out of all forward in the Eastern Conference with 173,161 votes while Paul Pierce is sixth among forwards with 94,071 votes.

Dwight Howard, center for the Orlando Magic, leads all NBA players with 754,737 votes. LeBron James of the Miami Heat is first among forwards in the Eastern Conference with 640,789 votes and his teammate, Dwyane Wade, is second among guards (637,912 votes). Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls is first among guards in the East with 640,476 votes.

Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers led all players in the Western Conference with 690,613 votes and Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder was second with 633,538 votes to lead all forwards in the West. Andrew Bynum of the Lakers led all West centers with 496,597 votes. Kendrick Perkins, formerly of the Celtics, was sixth among West centers (41,579 votes).
