Delonte West Wants To Stay In Boston

Delonte West has a special place in his heart for the Boston Celtics, and he has made it known through his agent, Jarinn Akana, that he wants to remain with the team next season and beyond.

"Delonte was drafted by Boston and he has a special place for Boston because of that," said his agent Jarinn Akana of Lagardere Unlimited. "He spent some good years there, then came back last year and was able to play, but had injuries here and there. He did contribute, but he wanted to contribute more and help Boston advance further. Of course he'd like to be back, I think that's his No. 1 goal to be back and help Boston win another championship." (via ESPN Boston)

West averaged 5.6 points and 2.7 assists in 24 games with the Celtics last season. West, who was drafted No. 24 overall by Boston in the 2004 NBA Draft, has played four of his eight NBA seasons with the Celtics.
