Nenad Krstic, who played 24 games for the Boston Celtics this season, has signed a two-year deal with Russian basketball powerhouse CSKA Moscow, according to a report from Interbasket.net.
Got confirmation that Russian reports are true and Nenad Krstic is indeed joining CSKA Moscow.
The deal is reportedly worth six million euros. The report also indicates that Krstic was being pursued by Olympiacos and Barcelona of the European leagues. This will be Krstic's second go around in the Russian Pro Basketball League
Krstic, who averaged 9.1 points and 5.3 rebounds with the Celtics, was scheduled to be a free agent on July 1, but instead opted to seek employment overseas, with the possibility of an NBA lockout potentially playing a role in the decision.
In seven NBA seasons, Krstic totaled 4,210 points and 2,261 rebounds in separate stints with three different teams - the New Jersey Nets, the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Celtics. Krstic averaged 10 points and 5.4 rebounds in seven seasons.
