Celtics Bring In Pitt F Gilbert Brown, Introduce Draftees

After WEEI.com reported yesterday that the Celtics had interest in signing former University of Pittsburgh forward Gilbert Brown, the site reports that today they brought in the fifth-year senior for a workout along with drafted forwards JaJuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore.

Contracts cannot be offered to undrafted free agents until after the labor situation is resolved - and, in reality, contracts can't be offered to draftees, either, since the salary cap is in flux until the situation is resolved. Despite the lockout, veteran Celtics have expressed an interest in getting all members of the team together to get to know one another and start spending some time working together.

Both Moore and Johnson were introduced today at the Edison K-8 School in Brighton, where after their introductory press conference, they handed out 25 Celtics-themed Macbooks to the school and worked with the students to get them used to the new technology.
