Nate Robinson, who played in 81 games for the Boston Celtics from 2010 to 2011, was cited for public urination near New York City on Friday.
Police say they spotted Robinson urinating on a sidewalk near a bookstore around 2 a.m. Police took Robinson to police headquarters and issued a summons for him to appear in court on June 22. Robinson apologized for his actions through his Twitter account.

Robinson was traded from the New York Knicks to Boston prior to the trade deadline in the 2009-10 season. He finished with 170 points and 51 assists in 26 games with the Celtics that year.
In 2010-11, Robinson scored 388 points and had 105 assists in 55 games with Boston before being traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder along with center Kendrick Perkins..
