Steve Javie, Bob Delaney and Bill Kennedy will officiate Game 3 between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat at TD Garden on Saturday night.
These officials aren't unfamiliar with Boston, either, as both Delaney and Kennedy have some history with the Celtics.
After Shaquille O'Neal fouled out of the team's Christmas Day game with the Magic, O'Neal criticized Delaney, telling reporters, "They paid all that money to watch No. 26 [Delaney's number] play. If I was a fan, I would be pissed. You pay all that money for good seats, you have two of the best guys in the [NBA] sitting on the bench, out of the game. That is what happens when you have control freaks out there." O'Neal was later fined $35,000 by the league. (via WEEI)
As for Kennedy, he and Celtics coach Doc Rivers had a run-in, as both were fined for a situation in 2009 in which Rivers was critical to the media (and was ultimately fined $25,000).
