Paul Pierce has been named the NBA's Eastern Conference Player of the Week. Pierce averaged 21.7 points and 8 rebounds in Boston's four games last week against Utah, Phoenix, Golden State and Milwaukee.
↵Pierce finished with 21 points and seven rebounds in Boston's 107-102 win over Utah last Monday. In the Celtics' 115-103 win over Phoenix, Pierce had a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Pierce scored 27 points and grabbed seven boards in Boston's 107-103 win over Golden State and racked up 23 points and five rebounds in Sunday night's 89-83 win over the Bucks.
↵This is the second time this season that Pierce has received Player of the Week honors. In the Western Conference, Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook was named the Player of the Week after averaging 27 points and 9.6 assists in three games.
