Paul Pierce had his technical foul during the Celtics' game against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday rescinded by the NBA, according to an ESPN report.
↵Pierce was slapped with the technical following a dunk over Suns forward Channing Frye, after which he glared down at Frye under the basket. Frye was called for a foul on the play, but it was too late to prevent the NBA's dunk of the night.
↵Boston has had 41 technical fouls assessed on its players this season, but this is the only one that has been rescinded. Following the NBA's ruling, Pierce now has seven technical fouls on the season. Kevin Garnett leads the team in technical fouls with ten and Celtics head coach Doc Rivers also has been t'd up seven times.
