On Tuesday, the New York Knicks agreed to a buyout with recently acquired Corey Brewer, making the swingman a free agent. Brewer originally came to the Knicks as part of the Carmelo Anthony deal just last week, but now he is free to sign with any team that wants. And as you'd imagine, plenty of playoff teams are interested in picking up a defensive stopper for a deep playoff run -- it's a list that reportedly includes the Spurs, Thunder, Mavericks and Celtics.
According the CSNNE.com's Sherrod Blakely, Boston is very interested.
Right now, the #Celtics are focused on Corey Brewer. There's a strong belief that he is the final piece to this championship puzzle.
Brewer has started just 22 starts this season, while averaging 8.6 points and 2.7 rebounds per game.
