Marquis Daniels Expected Out For 'At Least A Month'

According to the Celtics, Marquis Daniels will likely miss at least a month as a result of the neck injury he suffered during today’s CelticsMagic game.

While a month doesn’t seem like much when you consider how bad things looked with Daniels lying motionless before being carried off on a stretcher, it’s certainly a blow for the Celtics. Daniels’ 5.6 points in nearly 20 minutes per game don’t seem like big numbers, but he’s acted as something of a glue man for the team, making everything flow better when he’s on the floor.

The Celtics will have a replacement soon, however, as Delonte West is expected to return around the NBA All-Star break. With Von Wafer playing as well as he has of late, Boston should be able to ride out the rough patch in between.

The Celtics will have more information on Daniels’ condition tomorrow.
