Doc Rivers will coach the Eastern Conference in the 2011 NBA All-Star Game on February 20th at the Staples Center in L.A. Rivers has guided the Celtics to a 37-11 record, which is the best record in the Eastern Conference through the midway point.
Greg Popovich will coach the Western Conference, as his Spurs have the best record in the West at 40-8. San Antonio and Boston posses the league's best two records, respectively, with Miami (34-14) and the L.A. Lakers (34-15) owning the third and fourth best records in the NBA.
Boston did not have any starters named to the all-star game, but is expected to have several players (potentially Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and/or Kevin Garnett) named as reserves when the reserves are announced on Thursday.
