David West Trade: Celtics Expected To Send Jermaine O'Neal Plus One To New Orleans

Details are starting to trickle in on the potential David West trade as Adrian Wojnarowski brings word that the Boston Celtics may be looking to send Jermaine O'Neal plus one other player (yet to be identified) to the New Orleans Hornets as part of a sign-and-trade deal for the free agent power forward.

The two-time NBA All-Star, who is coming off an ACL tear from last season, is averaging 16.4 points and 7.3 rebounds across eight season with the Hornets, where he's played since being drafted in 2003.

The deal is expected to be worth $27-29 million across three years.

O'Neal, who recently underwent knee surgery himself prior to under-performing last season with the Celtics, today told Boston.com that one of the only things bringing him back from the brink of retirement was a chance to play in the NBA finals.

Let's hope for his sake the Hornets have a big year.
