Boston Celtics Trade Rumors 2011: C's, Magic To Swap Glen Davis, Brandon Bass?

Glen Davis' says in a Boston Celtics uniform may be coming to an end, as the Boston Celtics are reportedly trying to send Big Baby to the Orlando Magic in exchange for fellow big man Brandon Bassaccording to the Boston Herald.

According to a league source, the Cs are in discussions with Orlando to send Big Baby, in a sign-and-trade deal, to Orlando for power forward Brandon Bass - a player Magic management had been very high on at one stage. (via Dan Duggan, Boston Herald)

Davis is an unrestricted free agent, so the Celtics would likely complete a sign-and-trade to bring in Bass. Davis has played for the Celtics for his entire four-year career. In 277 games, Davis has averaged 7.6 points and 4.1 rebounds in Boston.

Bass, a six-year veteran, has played for the New Orleans Hornets, Dallas Mavericks and most recently the Magic. In 336 games, Bass averages 7.7 points and 4.1 rebounds. Last season, Bass averaged a career-high 11.2 points and 5.6 boards with the Magic.
