Boston Celtics Training Camp 2011: First Practice Set For 5 P.M. EDT

WALTHAM - Greetings from Healthpoint, the practice facility of the Boston Celtics, as we await the first practice of Boston Celtics training camp, which begins for the C's on Friday (as well as for all of the teams around the league).

The first practice of 2011 training camp will begin at 5:00 p.m. EDT, according to the Celtics' media hotline. Practice may last anywhere from one to three hours, depending on what head coach Doc Rivers has in store. Players will be made available after the practice session.

Meanwhile, want to hear a funny story? Unsure of what time training camp officially began, I showed up here at about 9 a.m. in the morning, only to find out practice wouldn't start until the late afternoon. Thankfully Healthpoint is a first-class facility with Wi-Fi and a snack bar, otherwise this could be a long day. More updates to come.
