Mickael Pietrus has appeared to clear waivers, and according to A. Sherrod Blakely of Comcast SportsNet New England, is in the process of signing with the Boston Celtics. Both sides are reportedly working out a contract as of Saturday night.

Pietrus was waived by the Phoenix Suns and was rumored to be leaning heavily towards signing with the Celtics if he cleared waivers at the 6 p.m. EDT deadline on Saturday night. Boston expressed interested in Pietrus before the lockout.
In 496 career games, Pietrus has averaged 8.5 points and 3.1 rebounds while shooting 43.1 percent from the floor. Last season, Pietrus averaged 7.2 points and 2.2 boards in 57 games between the Suns and Orlando Magic.
