The NBA season is two days away, and that means it's time for the start of the weekly power rankings. Marc Stein of ESPN.com has released his preseason rankings, where he has the Boston Celtics ranked No. 11 overall at the start.

As if Celts fans weren't already worried about their creaky heroes coping with 66 games in such a short span, there's this worrisome omen: Boston is 94-14 (.870) before Christmas in the KG Era's four seasons ... and just 140-80 (.636) after Christmas. (via ESPN)

Without much surprise, Stein has the Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat at the top of his preseason power rankings, in that order. The Oklahoma City Thunder, Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Clippers round out the top five in his rankings. The New York Knicks are ranked No. 6 while the Philadelphia 76ers are ranked No. 16 and the New Jersey Nets sit at No. 19.

At the bottom of the league, the Detroit Pistons, Toronto Raptors, New Orleans Hornets, Cleveland Cavaliers and Charlotte Bobcats round out the worst five teams in the league.
