Celtics' Jeff Green: 'I'll Be Back Stronger'

Following news that he would be out for the entire 2011-2012 basketball season with a aortic aneurysm, Boston Celtics forward Jeff Green is the biggest optimist in regards to returning to form. Minutes after the team announced the injury to the public, Green took to Twitter to assure Celtics fans that he'll be back and better than ever.

Thank u everyone for ur thoughts and prayers...much appreciated love u all..and I'll be back soon stronger and better than ever I promise (via Jeff Green's Twitter)

Green's loss to the Celtics can be described as immense. After being signed by the team to a one-year contract, Celtics head coach Doc Rivers was going to most likely utilize Green as the team's sixth man as well as relief for players like Paul Pierce and Ray Allen whenever the two needed rest.

With the 25-year old not in the Celtics plans this season, the team could either go and sign someone like James Posey, who is a similar player to Green and knows the Celtics system well, or choose to rely on Marquis Daniels to carry the load. Either way, Green's loss will be felt this season.
