Boston Celtics Training Camp 2011: C's Hold Scrimmage On Friday

Doc Rivers and the Boston Celtics will host an early practice as well as a scrimmage open to season ticket holders on Friday morning and evening at TD Garden, the team's home arena, in Boston, MA. Shootaround begins at 10:00 a.m. EDT while the open practice/scrimmage begins at 6 p.m. and lasts roughly two hours.

Friday's practice will be headlined by the status of Jeff Green, who has been held out of practice after he re-signed with the team but failed his physical with an unknown ailment. Rivers and Danny Ainge shared little about Green's condition during Thursday's practice, but Ainge told reporters that his test results were in and it would be discussed Friday.

In addition to Green, both Rajon Rondo and Paul Pierce have been held out of practice. Pierce will not play in the C's preseason opener against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, according to Rivers, while Rondo may see action in the game.
