NBA Lockout World Tour: Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, More Could Join Global Tour

An NBA Lockout global barnstorming tour would be awesome. But will it happen?

With the ongoing NBA lockout jeopardizing organized basketball, several of the leagues biggest names could take part in a global barnstorming tour. Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Derrick Rose are among the names that have been connected with a four-continent tour that could start on Oct. 29, according to multiple reports.

Stops would be made in Puerto Rico, London, China and Australia. The group would play twice in London and Melbourne. Of course this would all evaporate if the owners and players could reach an agreement in the next several days, but that outcome continues to appear unlikely.

The tour could be quite a spectacle, but the latest reports put the event in jeopardy before it starts. Yahoo! Sports's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that tour organizers have not provided contracts to arena promoters in San Juan, Puerto Rico assuring the full compliment of players will attend the event.
