Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen both had four points in the first quarter. Rajon Rondo and Kendrick Perkins each scored two points in the opening quarter for Boston.
Andrew Bynum had seven points to lead the Lakers. Kobe Bryant scored five points and Lamar Odom added four points for Los Angeles
Boston made 9-of-18 shots in the opening quarter while Los Angeles hit 8-of-20 field goals.
