Although he's not expected on the court until at least 2011, Kendrick Perkins doesn't feel like his job as starting center for the Celtics is in jeopardy.
↵He made that clear during Celtics' media day, despite the Celtics' offseason signings of Jermaine O'Neal and Shaquille O'Neal, both long-established centers.
↵↵↵"But, really, my spot is not up for grabs. So when I come back I will be in my spot, everybody else will just have to adjust to me after that."
↵
An ESPN.com report also discusses how Perkins is confident that his rehabilitation from surgery to repair a torn ACL this summer is going well and that he is "a little bit ahead of schedule."
↵Far enough ahead, apparently, for Perkins to even putback a loose ball while on his way from interview to interview.
