The Boston Bruins won't have defenseman Adam McQuaid for games three and four of their Eastern Conference Quarterfinal matchup with the Washington Capitals (ESPN Boston).
McQuaid was injured during a March 29 game against the Capitals when he turned into a hit by Jason Chimera. McQuaid flew into the boards face first following the hit. His eye was swollen shut.
McQuaid's last game was on April 5 against the Ottawa Senators but he didn't finish that contest. McQuaid is remaining in Boston for treatment for an "upper body injury." McQuaid played 72 games during the regular season and scored two goals, had eight assists and 99 penalty minutes.
The Bruins and Capitals are tied 1-1 in the series. The next game is on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Verizon Center.
