Nicklas Backstrom scored the game-winning goal early in the second overtime, to give the Washington Capitals a win over the Boston Bruins, tying the series at one game a piece.
The Boston Bruins finished the regular season tied with the Philadelphia Flyers as the second highest scoring teams in the league. The Flyers have lived up to their billing during the Playoffs, scoring 12 goals in two games, while the Bruins have scored only twice in six period, plus three overtimes.
Benoit Pouliot scored the Bruins only goal of the game, with Brian Rolston and Chris Kelly notching assists.
Game three is scheduled for Monday, as the series moves to Washington.
