Bruins Vs. Capitals, 2012 NHL Playoffs Game 2: Boston, Washington Tied 0-0 After 1st Period

The low-scoring first round Playoff series between the Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals continues, as neither team has scored in the first period of game two.

Bruins goalie, Tim Thomas, has saved every shot attempted against him this series. The Caps attempted only 17 shots in Thursday's overtime loss, but look to surpass that total in game two, as they already have nine shots in the first period. The Bruins have 10 shots on goal.

Washington was 0-2 on power plays in the first period, while Boston was 0-1. Zdeno Chara and Chris Kelly both have picked up two minute penalties for the Bruins. Mike Green is responsible for the Caps only penalty.

The second period can be seen on NBC.
