Bruins Vs. Islanders Final Score: B's Beat Isles, 6-3

The Boston Bruins will head back to the Playoffs to defend their 2011 Stanley Cup title. They defeated the New York Islanders by a final of 6-3 on Saturday, officially clinching a Playoff berth.

For the first two periods the game was tight, tied 1-1 after one and 2-2 after two periods. Then, in the third and final period, the Bruins turned it on, scoring four goals against the Islanders, en route to their three-goal victory.

Brad Marchand got the scoring started in the third with his 27th goal of the season, followed by Tyler Seguin, Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci, who scored their 27th, 18th and 23rd goals of the season, respectively.

Neither team converted a power play opportunity and the Islanders managed only 22 shots against Marty Turco and the Bruins.

The Bruins will stay in New York to face the Rangers on Sunday.
