Was Jason Chimera's Hit On Adam McQuaid Dirty?

In the Boston Bruins' 3-2 loss to the Washington Capitals, Washington's Jason Chimera laid a big hit on Boston's Adam McQuaid behind the Bruins' net. Chimera was assessed a five-minute major penalty and a game misconduct penalty for the hit. Chimera will face no further discipline from the NHL. Should he have been suspended for the hit as well?

Mike Felger and Tony Massarotti of 98.5 discussed the hit and what they thought they appropriate punishment should be on Friday.

The fact that McQuaid turned at the last moment was a mitigating factor in determining whether or not Chimera deserved extra discipline, though the two agreed it would have been possible to suspend him for the hit.

Felger and Massarotti also said that Chimera's hit was a "dirty play," whether or not it merited a suspension.
