The Boston Bruins lost yet another player to injury during Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, as Patrice Bergeron appeared to leave the game with a lower body injury.
Bergeron was injured near the beginning of the second period, and went into the locker room. The forward rejoined the Bruins bench for the beginning of the third period. He skated one shift, but it was apparent that he was not capable of playing full speed. He left the ice in obvious pain.
Earlier in the game, the Bruins lost defenseman Adam McQuaid to an unknown injury.
