The Boston Bruins made a change in goal at the start of the second period of Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Starting Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas let up three goals on ten Penguins shots during the first period. When the Bruins skated out for the second period at the Consol Energy Center, it was newly acquired goalie Marty Turco leading them out.
Turco joined the Bruins on Wednesday as a replacement for the injured Tuukka Rask. The ten year NHL vet spent most of this season playing for EC Salzburg, a pro team in Austria. His Austrian team ended their playoff run last week. He played with the Chicago Blackhawks last season.
