After having a disastrous February, Boston Bruins center David Krejci gave B's fans to build on, as he got off to a flying start in the month of March. On Thursday night against the New Jersey Devils, Krejci recorded a hat trick, with the third and final goal coming in the overtime period, giving the B's a 4-3 win at home.
Krejci, 25, has had a somewhat disappointing season to this point. Krejci signed a three-year extension in December that will pay him approximately $5.25 million each season. His drastic decline ever since signing that extension has got people wondering whether he's just taking the money and running with it. And they have good reason to wonder. Along with just scoring one goal in the month of February, he has been shifted all around in the B's front line. He's been a center on the top three lines and was even utilized as a first line right winger for a few games by head coach Claude Julien.
