The Bruins currently sit first in their division, second in their conference and third in the League.
Carolina sits last in its division, last in the conference, and third to last in the League.
But, while the odds should be highly stacked in favor of the Bruins, the glaring stat has people scratching their heads: the Hurricanes are 3-0 against the Bruins so far this year.
Not only that, but the Hurricanes have done it an impressive fashion.
Of the three meetings between these two teams this year, Carolina has outscored Boston 11-5, and is one of the only teams in the league that has a winning record against the Stanley Cup Champions.
Carolina managed to lose three times to the Islanders (who currently sit third to last place in the Eastern Conference) this month, but have had great success that has puzzled both fans and the players on the ice.
If the 'Canes were to pull off another upset tonight, it would be the first time they swept the Bruins in franchise history.
The puck drops at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on NESN and the NHL Network and will be aired live on 98.5 the Sports Hub.
