Bruins Vs. Jets Score Update: Scoreless After First Period

After twenty minutes of play, the Bruins and Jets sit scoreless though each had a couple of opportunities on net.

The B's put up 13 shots on net in the first frame while holding the Jets to just four. However, the Bruins have been pretty used to big numbers on net without converting. They will need to put a couple of those in the back of the net to make the number worth while.

Perhaps the most surprising thing was that not only was there no scoring from either team, but neither the Jets nor the Bruins were sent to the penalty box in the twenty minutes.

In Tuukka Rask's first game back in net after his shaky start against the Buffalo Sabres, he turned aside four shots but looked solid in net otherwise.

Josh Hennessy made his Bruins debut tonight, skating on the same line as Shawn Thornton and Gregory Campbell, though he only has 2:45 minutes on ice.
