Bruins Vs. Canucks: Two Power Play Goals Give 'Nucks 3-2 Lead After Two

The Bruins looked to be in good shape after Rich Peverley put them up 2-1 seven minutes into the new frame, but the Canucks power play (best in the league) picked up two more power play goals to ultimately give Vancouver a 3-2 lead heading into the second intermission.

The Bruins now have given up eight power play opportunities to the Canucks, and they have capitalized on three of them. That, and now the Bruins will be without two of their top scorers, Lucic, who was thrown out in the first period, and Marchand who left with just over a minute to go in the period after being called for clipping. That resulted in a five minute major and a game misconduct.

The Canucks capitalized on it before the end of the period, but will remain in effect until it runs out going into the third period.

The Bruins are 2-7-1 when they trail going into the third period, whereas the Canucks are 19-0-0 when leading.
