Bruins Vs. Devils: First Period Score, Boston Leads 2-1

The Boston Bruins erased a New Jersey Devils 1-0 lead with two first period goals. They lead the Devils 2-1 after the first 20 minutes of play.

New Jersey struck first with a power play goal after four and a half minutes of play. The Devils got the man advantage after Johnny Boychuk got two minutes for a delay of game after the puck went over the glass. Led by goalie Martin Brodeur, the Devils held onto the lead for another four minutes.

Devils defenseman Henrik Tallinder gave away the puck in his own zone which led to a Bruins goal by Gregory Campbell who tipped it in from 14 feet for his fourth goal of the season.

Boston got a power play at 12:36 when Tallinder shot the puck over the glass. The Bruins did not score on the power play, but Nathan Horton put the puck in the net four seconds after the man advantage expired.
