The 2012 NHL All-Star Game will be played Sunday in Ottawa, ON, as Team (Zdeno) Chara will face Team (Daniel) Alfredsson (4 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network). On Saturday night, the Boston Bruins defenseman, Chara, stole the show in the All-Star Game's Skill Compeition, as he blasted a record-setting 108.8-mile per hour slap shot.

The blast from the 6-foot-9, left-hander broke his previous record of 105 mph.

Chara's shot impressed even the best of the NHL:

"It's amost ridiculous," Calgary Flames All-Star forward Jarome Iginla said. "Guys were talking that when you get over 100 that's impressive, that's a good shot. Now you're at a 108. Where does it stop?"
